I want to upgrade my mobile
There are a few things you should know first.
When can I get an upgrade?
· You can upgrade when you have one month left in your current contract.
What do I have to do?
· Before you do anything, you'll need to make sure that you’re fully paid up and there are no overdue payments outstanding on your account.
· Then, simply pick up the phone to find out if you're eligibile and what offers might be available. We’ll send you your new mobile in next working day if you call us before 4pm. Otherwise, you’ll have your new mobile in your hands within two working days.
· Don't forget - to qualify for an upgrade, you’ll need to re-join 3 for at least 12 months. And if you’re happy to stay with us for 18 months, your offer may be even better.
Things you should know about mobile upgrades
· Changing your price plan. We often run special offers that might top the one you’ve got at the moment so why not ask us about our latest deals? But if you are happy with your plan then no problem, you don’t have to change. If it works for you, stick with it.
· Your old mobile. In most cases, you can keep your old mobile, but sometimes you may have to send it back to us if an exchange is part of the upgrade. Go to the Fonebak page for information on recycling your old phone.
· Transferring your personal content. Since you’ll be keeping your SIM card, you’ll probably want to transfer things onto it first, like your contacts and photographs of your friends. You cannot transfer content that is copyright protected, like music videos. To find out how to transfer content onto your SIM card, refer to your user guide.
· Insurance. Once you’ve upgraded your mobile, double-check with your insurance provider that you’re covered. Some policies only last for the length of your initial contract. Alternatively, you may be able to get cover from your home insurance provider. That way, if you drop your new mobile or someone steals it, you won’t have to worry about it.
